Every life contains decisions—major and minor—and those decisions lead to consequences.
The teaching focused on the biblical principle that God gives people the power to choose and calls them to choose life.
01
The First Decision
The foundational decision is the decision to follow Jesus.
Following Christ cannot simply be inherited from family or culture. It requires a personal decision.
Deuteronomy 30 presents life and death, blessing and cursing, and calls God’s people to choose life.
02
Choice and Responsibility
God gives people the ability to choose, but He does not make every decision for them.
With choice comes responsibility.
The teaching emphasized that blaming others for our decisions prevents us from taking responsibility for the direction of our lives.
03
Choices Have Consequences
Scripture provides numerous examples:
Isaac chose obedience and experienced God’s provision. Joseph chose self-control. Daniel chose holiness. The prodigal son chose repentance and returned to his father.
Each choice opened a pathway.
When decisions are delayed, circumstances can begin making decisions on our behalf.

Everyday Choices
Living purposefully, praying, studying God’s Word, maintaining healthy relationships, practicing generosity, giving thanks and working diligently are all choices.
The teaching encouraged believers not to delay decisions indefinitely. When decisions are delayed, circumstances can begin making decisions on our behalf.
The message concluded with a prayer for grace to make godly choices and the courage to act on them.
