There is a season for every activity, and wisdom involves recognizing what season you are in.
This teaching continued the series on times and seasons with a particular emphasis on preparation and discernment.
01
Don’t Rush the Process
God makes all things beautiful in His time.
The teaching used examples from pregnancy and the transformation of a butterfly to illustrate the importance of allowing processes to reach their appointed stages.
Not every season looks like the final product.
Scripture
1 Chronicles 12:32
The sons of Issachar understood the times and knew what Israel ought to do.
02
Preparation Cannot Be Borrowed
The story of the wise and foolish virgins demonstrates that preparation is personal.
Everyone must prepare for their own season.
The teaching also encouraged believers not to compare their lives with others because different people can be in different seasons at the same time.
03
Discernment Is Essential
Discernment helps believers recognize when to act, wait, pray, fast, speak or remain silent.
The sons of Issachar understood the times and knew what Israel ought to do.
Jesus also demonstrated discernment in His relationships, assignment and timing.
Not every season looks like the final product.

Jesus as Our Example
Jesus knew His purpose, maintained consistent prayer, lived by Scripture and prioritized His assignment.
He did not allow people’s opinions to replace God’s approval.
Believers were encouraged to develop the same discipline by finding what Scripture says concerning them and living according to it.
05
Practical Application
To maximize your season:
- Learn to discern where you are.
- Stop comparing your season with others.
- Seek God’s approval above human approval.
- Identify your primary assignment.
- Build consistent daily routines, especially prayer.
