A Notable Miracle

Faith, Expectation and the Power of God

A notable miracle is a supernatural work of God that is remarkable, undeniable and worthy of attention.

The teaching used the healing of the lame man at the Beautiful Gate in Acts 3 as a biblical picture of a notable miracle.

01

What Makes a Miracle Notable?

The healing transformed the man’s life. He had been carried to the temple to beg, but after encountering the power of God through Peter and John, he walked, leaped and praised God.

The miracle produced wonder and amazement among those who knew him.

A notable miracle can bring an end to a long-standing situation, produce undeniable evidence and create a natural response of joy and praise.

Scripture

Acts 3:1–10

The lame man at the Beautiful Gate walks, leaps and praises God.

02

Expectation Matters

The message emphasized the importance of expectation.

When Peter told the lame man to look at them, the man expected to receive something. Faith and expectation positioned him to respond to what God was doing.

Believers were encouraged to approach prayer actively and expectantly rather than casually.

03

The Name of Jesus

The teaching also emphasized faith in the name of Jesus and the authority associated with His name.

Jesus promised that believers would participate in His works, and the message encouraged the congregation to stand in faith and expect God to move in their lives and in the lives of others.

Faith and expectation positioned him to respond to what God was doing.
